News : NeoAxis Engine 2021.1 Released.

On March 10, 2021 the well-known game engine NeoAxis came with a new release.
NeoAxis company releases a new version of NeoAxis Engine, an integrated development environment with built-in 3D/2D game engine. The environment can be used to develop all kinds of 3D and 2D projects such as computer games, visual trainers, VR systems, to visualize processes and develop windowed applications. NeoAxis 2021.1 includes improvements for ambient lighting, metal materials, rendering speed, rendering quality, basic content. Has been added a set of paid add-ons such as Industrial Kit, Pipe Constructor, Fence Constructor, Road Constructor.

  • Now is not needed to configure Blend Mode and Mask manually for materials.
  • This done automatically by the engine.
  • Terrain: The curvature in the calculation of texture coordinates has been added.
  • The curvature is intended to reduce the tiling effect.
  • Material editor: Remove Texture Tiling parameter for samplers.
  • Editor: Export component to file.
  • To export use context menu for selected components.
  • Outline screen effect.
  • Outline selection mode for meshes and billboards.
  • The starting scenes are better configured.
  • The ability to configure the multiplier of affecting skybox color and scene background color to ambient lighting.
  • Character: First person camera mode has been improved.
  • Curve In Space: Support of geometry rendering, collision.
  • Scene editor: The button to change rendering debug mode in the ribbon.
  • Skybox: The ability to set special cubemap for ambient lighting has been added.
  • Mesh: The ability to export to FBX has been added.
  • More abilities for add-on creation of the scene editor.
  • ComputeUsingThreads component has been added. It is an auxiliary class to make optimized calculations using threads.
  • Sample scene - 'Samples\Starter Content\Scenes\Compute using threads.scene'.
  • Reflection Probe: Camera settings fixes.
  • The ability to set Rotation, Multiplier, RenderSky has been added.
  • Rendering Pipeline: Per object cut volumes support.
  • UIWebBrowser has been updated.
  • Optimization: Faster FBX import.
  • Optimization: Faster rendering pipeline.
  • Bug fix: Flipped skyboxes which in 2:1 size format.
  • Bug fix: Mesh collision shape works wrong on some meshes.
  • Bug fix: Various minor bug fixes.

News : NeoAxis Engine 2019.2.4 Released.

The NeaAxis Engine has a fast development team and released a new version 2019.2.4 version.
From the 16 June 2019 up to 11 July 2019 they come with many features. The following features have been added and can be read at the official website see the team announcement :
  • Significant optimizations of the rendering pipeline. 
  • Rendering is multi-threaded computed now, automatic GPU instancing has been added. 
  • Import content tool enhancements have been improved. 
  • Easy import from library Quixel Megascans is now supported. 
  • The ability to use the engine widget in Windows Forms and WPF applications has been added. Billboard rendering has been improved. 
  • Now they are drawn faster and support shadows. 
  • A high-quality anti-aliasing mode has been added. Supersampling anti-aliasing (SSAA). Documentation has been improved. Class descriptions have been added.
They come with a roadmap on the official website to see how the development works.
I want to see tutorials and video tutorial to follow my issues with C# but I expected to see it in the future.

News : NeoAxis Build 2019.2.3 released today.

The new version of the NeoAxis Build 2019.2.3 was released today.
The SDK includes all features of the NeoAxis Engine.
The size of this download is 1.1 GB.
System requirements: Windows 10, 8, 7 64-bit. DirectX 11 graphics card.
  • Materials have been improved.
  • The tool for generation environment cube maps from source format has been added.
  • Displacement mapping to materials has been added. Parallax Occlusion Mapping.
  • Tone mapping screen effect has been improved.
  • Mesh skinning on GPU.
  • UI Editor now has all the necessary features. Resizing, step movement.
  • UI Editor: Ribbon Tab.
  • UI Editor: Small fixes.
  • UIProgressBar.
  • Built-in C# scripting improvements.
  • Project settings have been updated.
  • HDR texture format support.
  • Import 3D models have been improved. Latest Assimp.
From old versions, you can use the C# programming language.

A month ago, on March 28, 2019, NeoAxis Group released the latest NeoAxis Engine 2019.1.

News: NeoAxis 3D Engine 3.5 Released.

The latest version of  NeoAxis Engine 3.5 it was announced today with new features:
  • Graphic user interface of the tools has been updated.
  • A tool to easily import 3D models from a file has been added.
  • Example maps have been updated.
  • Freeze Objects Manager has been added. The object is indended to optimize maps with big amount of objects on them. With this object the developer can make some objects on the map freeze to save resources.
  • Streaming terrain has been improved. Better management of load/unload mechanism.
  • The ability to skip mip maps during loading textures.
  • Bug fix: Broken rendering with enabled SoftParticles parameter of the material.
  • Bug fix: Broken decals on terrain.
  • Bug fix: Broken export of 3D models from Map Editor to DAE.

The development team of NeoAxis Group come with this news:
NeoAxis Group Ltd is glad to announce that the universal 3D develoment framework NeoAxis 3D Engine is now completely free, as the community has been asking for it. You can freely download the recently published SDK 3.0, which includes all the features previously reserved to Unlimited and Source licences. From now, the engine will developed as free tool. Paid licenses will still give customers access to a bigger part of the engine\'s source code.

NeoAxis integrated the FMOD library into the NeoAxis 3D Engine.

The NeoAxis Group Ltd has integrated the FMOD library into the NeoAxis 3D Engine. FMOD is a set of audio content creation tools made by Firelight Technologies that play music files of diverse formats on many different operating system platforms, used in games and software applications to provide audio functionality.

News: NeoAxis with Awesomium library .

NeoAxis 3D Engine is a free integrated development environment.
Awesomium makes it easy to use HTML UI in your C++ or .NET applications.
The new extension for the NeoAxis 3D Engine is available as a binary for Windows and Mac.
This allows embedding full-fledged web browser functionality into applications and games.

NeoAxis Game Engine 1.32 Released

NeoAxis Game Engine 1.32 contains small improvements and fixes for the recently released version 1.31.
Changes from the last version:
Sound System: Doppler effect has been added.
Bug fix: Resource Editor: Material Editor: Preview models are not visible when DiffuseVertexColor = True.
Bug fix: Resource Editor: Particle System Editor: Crash on editing list of emitters.
Bug fix: Resource Editor: Error on import skeleton animation.
Model Import: Assimp library has been updated to 3.0.

The new 3D game engine NeoAxis Engine version 1.3

NeoAxis Group tells us that its all-purpose 3D game engine NeoAxis Engine was updated to the version 1.3.
Seam the new version received a number of new features along with changed license terms for a Source Edition of the engine.
Now license cost depends on the number of developers as stated below:
  • Personal license (for one developer) - 2895 USD
  • Team license (2-5 developers) - 9800 USD
  • Unlimited license (6 and more developers) - 29500 USD
